What you'll be doing
A day as an RGN
- Taking clinical charge of the floor and leading the care team on your shift.
- Assessing residents and developing, reviewing and updating care plans and risk assessments.
- Managing and administering medication, including controlled drugs, to NMC standards.
- Carrying out clinical tasks — wound care, catheter and other nursing interventions.
- Supervising and supporting HCAs and SCAs, and liaising with GPs, families and the wider team.
- Documenting accurately and upholding the NMC Code, safeguarding and infection control.
What we're looking for
Is this you?
- Active NMC registration as a Registered General Nurse, with a valid PIN — mandatory.
- Registered nurse qualification (adult / general nursing).
- Post-registration experience in a care home or similar setting (preferred).
- Strong clinical, assessment and medication-management skills.
- Right to work in the UK and an enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one).
- Satisfactory references and calm, confident clinical leadership.

Do I choose my own shifts?
